[Beauty exists nonetheless]

An important exhibition by artist Isa Barbier with around ten extraordinary works of art made using unusual materials, such as seagull feathers. Her creative process sees her works move from the ephemeral to a geometric form, before achieving, in an very subtle manner, an architectural dimension.

New works produced specifically for the Lugano exhibition were shown in the windows of Casa Airoldi. Isa Barbier makes us view a work of art not just in terms of image, perception and object, but also in terms of form, material, content and design. The forms of the works are seen from different perspectives, imposed by changes in natural light and the breeze, which thereby become part of the work itself, with surprising and unpredictable effects.
